Reviews

The following reviews are for the theatrical production upon which the audio production is based.
"This concept is interesting for literary & non-literary types alike. Refreshing to hear a decidedly male romantic narrative reworked for a female voice."
"Kudos on expanding a poem to a full scale production with stunning set, lighting & costumes. Poe would have been proud to have seen what I did!"
"Sandra Veronica Stanczyk must be praised for the feat of carrying such a lot of text. Her part is substantial and demanding and she meets the challenge valiantly."

Reviews

The following reviews are for the theatrical production upon which the audio production is based.

LondonTheatre 1

"Good, blood-curdling stuff on a cold, dark night. Dracula is glib, facile, mercurial and endearingly chatty; right up until the moment when he sinks his teeth into your neck."

Ham and High

"...it is so well played, the story comes up as fascinating, fresh and scary as ever. [Simon James Collier] ...has achieved a special coup of casting a Romanian actor to play the titular Transylvanian count. Cristinel Hogas’ accent, imposing presence and charm make him a dead ringer for the immortal count."

A Younger Theatre

"The show is relatively true to the book, with the exception of an unexpected ending. The cast work together brilliantly and easily encapsulate the cleverness of the book into their performance. If you like a bit of a chilling tale, then this is definitely the production for you."

Skin II: The Session

It’s been four years since vegan serial killer Vivian Shorewood skinned the first of her sixteen victims in what she deemed a ‘boutique culling’ of London’s more undesirable inhabitants. Frustrated that her five previous psychiatrists haven’t truly been able to embrace or understand, and in some cases even believe her actions, she decided to make an appointment to see Dr. Martin Boyden, a respected expert in his field. ‘Skin II: The Session’ is their first meeting, which happened last Thursday at 11.45 am.

Reviews

The following reviews are for the theatrical production upon which the audio production is based.

LondonTheatre1

"The obsessed Doctor Jekyll frantically scrawling on the walls of the room looking for answers to how and what he has created – it is a very charged atmosphere, fantastically staged by Simon James Collier. The story has been given a new spin by Adam Dechanel, and is utterly absorbing. A fantastic thrill ride, not for the faint hearted!"

British Theatre Guide

"Despite the familiarity of the story, it still has a cliff-hanger quality as it unfolds and under Simon James Collier’s direction delivers several frissons of evil to make back hairs bristle. This production doesn’t shirk the violence the stems from Hyde but it is cleverly handled by Omar F Okai and, though stylised, still sends shivers down the spine."

London Theatre Reviews

"It’s an extremely free adaptation of Stevenson’s classic novel, reduced to suit the dramatic needs and resources of a pub theatre. This in-your-face production, so honestly performed, uses the platform stage bordered by books and open space in addition to the aisles close to the audience."

Skin III: The Final Incision

It’s been nine years since vegan serial killer Vivian Shorewood skinned the first of her twenty-eight victims. She receives a call from Oakleaf Nursing Home, in Wollaton, Nottingham, where her mother, 84-year-old Hilary, has taken a turn for the worse. Hilary’s Care Worker intimates to Vivian that maybe she should pay her mother a visit, sooner rather than later. What Vivian doesn’t know is that Hilary has both something to tell her daughter, something she has kept a secret her entire life, and to ask of her one last request.
